When I’m looking forward to an upcoming trip to Lake Placid, I fuel my day dreaming by checking weather reports and webcam feeds. The Mirror Lake webcams really help me visualize — literally — what the conditions look like on the ground.

Especially in the winter, I love glimpses of people skating on the frozen lake and the dog sleds going by. In the spring, I check regularly to see the progress of ice melt. And summertime brings SUPs and canoes. You can also watch the Ironman swimming event. The Mirror Lake webcam is the only one I’ve found on YouTube, which allows me to download and embed it on my phone for super easy access.
