Backpacking Table Top and Mt Colden

We did a 2-day, 1-night backpacking trip to hike Table Top and Mt Colden in the Adirondack High Peaks.

Many lessons learned. -- The campsites by Lake Arnold were incredibly muddy with lots of blowdowns. As a result, several were closed and the one where we camped was sub-par. -- Hiking down Mt Colden (toward Colden Lake) was treacherous! The slab rock was steep and slick. Very wet and slippery. It would've been much easier to hike up that section instead of hiking down it. -- If we had it to do over again, we'd absolutely reverse our loop: hike from the ADK Loj, past Avalanche Lake and Colden Lake, up mt. Colden, find another campsite, then hike Table Top on day 2.
