Winter Hiking in the Adirondacks
I went with a friend on my first winter hike / snowshoe in the Adirondacks. We hiked Goodman Mountain, which is part of the Tupper Lake Triad challenge. I had hiked this mountain several years ago in the summer so it was somewhat familiar and an easy hike overall. Just 3 miles roundtrip and 615 feet of vertical gain. And the top is only 2,178 feet high. It was a perfect beginner hike for the winter, although I wish we'd had a sunny day.
